What's new?
Hey there, I have been a bit busy the past couple of days, and finally have a smidge of time to make a post. Saturday was nice, one of the speakers at the Stand for Peace was a young 11 year old girl who spoke about gun violence. The keynote speaker was a man whose son was killed by a 13 year old gang member, and has forgiven his son's killer and has become friends with him. That was definitely a moving story.
Sunday I went to church in the "gayborhood" At a local bookstore there, an organization was handing out Hoeffel and Kerry bumper stickers and posters, as well as registering voters. I think the "gayborhood" is an excellent place to do that...what with Bush bringing up gay marriage every time things seem to be going rough for him. Last week, in case you didn't hear, the Log Cabin Republicans (the gay Republican org/lobby) made an announcement that they will not be endorsing George W. Bush for this election. A big kudos for them for that!
Ta ta! Will make another post with actual news in a few.
